Honda CR-V or Toyota Rav4
« on: March 24, 2010, 09:49:39 AM »
I'm looking into getting an entry-level compact SUV to bring to UCI with me as a graduate student. Thoughts on the two? Also looking into Hyundai Tucson and Nissan Rogue as well.

it kinda depends, postgradcomp.  if u r more like a delicate-interior-matrial person, CR-V would do it. if u r, however, a more-horsepower person, 23 grand for a Rav4 3.5L v6. btw, i assume it's new car we r talking abt.   i drove CR-V a while back n the accelerator doesnt feel so good. go4 a test drive n see wut u like.

As ridiculous as this response sounds, it's appropriate. Provided the requirements you mentioned (fit a grad student). It would be appropriate to assume you have no preferences on utility, reliability, economy, size, or refinement. As such anything will do.

To be helpful even though you weren't, here's a nifty little thing we have called youtube. You don't even have to read.

I'd recommend a Honda Fit for a little less, has a ton of utility and it's a pretty nice car overall.  Mileage is awesome too, I know this may be a bit late lol.
