Request Subdomain: FUSION
« on: April 04, 2009, 08:15:54 PM »
Hi, we would like to request a subdomain! Here is our info:

1. FUSION
2. "fusion.zotters.org"
3. We would not like a forum board.
4. We do need a MySQL database
5. We do need Google Apps

In addition, how would we be able to access the MySQL database?

Thanks! Waiting for the activation email to be sent to the email address on my profile.

greetz, you can't have mysql AND google apps. you must choose 1 or the other. what kind of site or system are you hoping to build? maybe we can give you advice which would be better for you. thanks.

We are hoping to build a dynamic web page.  I would love advice between the two.
I am wondering if google apps has the ability to do posts as a blog?

Thanks

okay. hmm, well google apps kinda enables blogging but its more for really simple update type posts, like announcements almost.

usually google apps is a good fit for clubs, but if you want a super super blog you´ll need a mysql database for wordpress or perhaps just setup a blogspot and you can frame your blog inside your subdomain.

here is an example wordpress install, that iMed is using.

I think the google apps option sounds most appealing.  I like imed's format and might utilize the wordpress install.

Thanks

:) i think you are still a bit confused.

google apps is not wordpress. google apps is this:

and wordpress (mysql, much more complicated) is this:
http://imed.zotters.org/

have you worked with mysql/CMS systems before? if not, you should maybe try google apps.
