hmmm yah i recommend just manual upgrade, cuz the auto thing sometimes has issues anyway. its a pain too cuz you must CHMOD 777 a bunch of random files, and then after wards every time, CHMOD them back to normal for security issues. i think its easier to just overwrite the proper files with the manual upgrade.

im not sure why the CHMOD aint working, mite be the security software we have on the new server. would you mind trying the manual upgrade?

I don't mind doing manual updates. However, it seems that because of this, the auto back-ups stopped working as well. I have back-ups scheduled weekly and because it can't write to the files, it won't do auto back-up. Is there any way we could get this to work?

are you talking about the manual "export" function? its not automatic unless you are using a 3rd party plugin like below:

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpressbackup/

are you saying that when you click "export" that it doesn't work?

ok so I tried creating a directory in the FTP website and that didn't work because permission is denied. Also, I cannot change the permissions to 777 even if i wanted to because the server isn't letting me. Is there any way I could get a little more freedom with this? I was trying to upload a new theme LOL...

Hey JJ,

I was wondering how I could go about getting some stats about our website. I'm not sure how other orgs using zotters are doing this but how would you go about it?

Thank you!
